My first group event...

I don't know where to start.... or end this post :) Too many fun photos! I should have had it posted sooner but life just gets crazy like that. I had a blast with this family during their reunion! They were all so happy and I had such a good time. I don't know why but the days before the reunion I was really worried about this session. I was just nervous... but I am so glad I was able to be their photographer! I love what I do.

The day started out playing with the family at a really fun playground... then we headed off to a parade...

Later that evening I got to photograph each family... there were 10 families! I love how close they all are to each other and I love that they were all able to get together for such a fun reunion. I adored the parents of this awesome family, they were so happy to have everyone together. I don't think there was a time that they weren't smiling!

Mary is a friend of mine and she put this whole reunion together and planned everything. She is awesome! I am thinking everyone had a fabulous time!!

Thanks Mary, so much! I am so glad I was able to capture these memories for your family!

Blueberries...

Something happened last night. And I loved it. Normally I have a difficult time photographing my own children. They know that when I pull out the camera it's time to ignore me... I can say their names over and over and it's like they don't even hear me. They know what I am trying to do :) But last night was perfect. I loved every moment and every picture. I couldn't wait to share...

I have never been blueberry picking before... but after we picked strawberries a month ago I knew I couldn't miss this...

We could have stayed all night and never gotten bored.

The light was stunning... it couldn't have been better...

See that smile?? My husband said her name once and she looked up and grinned... she doesn't normally do that for me...

We had a fabulous time! I think I took more photos than I picked blueberries... but that's okay, Evan made up for my lack of help. He did a great job helping his daddy. And Makiah was an excellent little model for me.

Need an idea for a family shoot? I definitely recommend what we did last night. The possibilities are endless... strawberry picking, blueberry picking, apple orchards in the fall.... let me know if this is something you'd like to do for a family session. I would love to photograph a session like this for your family!
