Melanie, Jason, Leah and Adam

I was so excited when Melanie contacted me for a photo session. It is so fun to meet new families, I love what I do! Melanie and Jason are awesome parents and they knew just what to do to get their kids smiling. I love it when families are up for anything and just go with the flow. We lucked out and got  a beautiful sunny day (after a week or two of rain). I love the pretty light in these photos and I also LOVED this location. It was so green (but I couldn't help but throw in several black and whites!)

What a fun session! This family was awesome and I loved every second. Whenever I do a shoot I usually pick out a favorite photo as soon as I load the photos to my computer. Today this one stood out to me....

I would love to have a photo similar to this one of my family :) I absolutely love it! I am going to have a blast editing from this session... be sure to stop by my blog again soon to see the rest!

Slowing down

Life has been crazy lately.... but good at the same time. I've had so much going on and I am ready for my life to be back to normal. That might take awhile. Oh well, at least things are going well and life is good. I have a family shoot tomorrow, so be watching for a post.... the weather is supposed to be beautiful and warm. I am ready for that, I've had enough of the rain for now! Here is a photo to top this post off.... it's green, flowery and everything to do with spring. Ahh spring! I love it. Happy Friday!

Faces & Flowers

I love the soft colors in this photo, especially the pinks. I love her rosy cheeks and the shape of her lips. I always loved blowing dandelions as a little girl and I was always careful to make a good wish... did you wish on dandelions when you were little? Or maybe you still do? What would you wish for today?

Celebrating Mom

For those of you who are not familiar with i heart faces head over to their site! Each week they have a themed photo challenge that anyone can enter their photos into. This week's theme is "Celebrating Mom" which is perfect for this week :) I have loved taking photos for mothers with their children. It's amazing how much love can be expressed in a photograph.

Jack and Luke

I really can't get enough of photographing babies! Baby Luke is just adorable and he is loved so much by his mom, dad and his big brother. I loved seeing the connection between these two brothers, they really love each other. The light was so pretty and I just love the beautiful colors in these photos...

I loved the photos of Becky and Luke and I had a hard time choosing a favorite. This one I think I like best :)

Luke would coo and smile at his brother and Jack just ate up the attention...

 When we finished up with the session Jack got to play in the fountain... he loved it and didn't mind getting all wet!

Julia, Aaron, Eldon, and Lilly

What a fun family! Eldon and Lilly were so cute and silly. I could tell they really enjoyed being with each other. Lilly followed Eldon around and copied his every move. It reminded me of my two kids who are just a year younger than each of these cute kids. We had a lot of fun walking around this beautiful park... getting soaked through :) It was a rainy day, but luckily it slowed down and we had a great time. I loved how easy going this family is, it made my job so easy and the pictures are so fun!
