2013 Announcement

I have been thinking a lot about my photography business these past several months. I have been trying to make a decision regarding 2013 and how I will be doing business in the new year. It has been a hard decision, but seeing that I still feel strongly about my decision now as I did several months ago, I know I am making the right decision for my family and myself.

Here goes nothing...

Starting in 2013 I will not be taking clients as I will be taking a break from my photography business.

Phew. I said it. I have been wanting to change my mind for quite awhile, but I know this is the right thing for me right now. As sad as this decision makes me, I know I need it. Right now I have a very young family that needs me... and I need them. I feel strongly that this break from photography will give me the chance to give my children the attention that they need. I look forward to the day that I can start my photography business again.

I want to tell you (my wonderful clients from these past THREE years!) how much I appreciate you all! Taking photos of your sweet families has been a great experience. I have loved getting to know each one of you. Photography has been a wonderful outlet for me. I have grown so much from learning this art by capturing moments of your life. Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to be your photographer!

The last thing I want to do is leave you stranded without a photographer. If you would like a recommendation for a new photographer in the area please contact me and let me know! I would love to refer you to a new photographer.

Also, please feel free to stop by this blog and say hi! I will continue taking photos of my little kiddos and I plan to post here frequently. I may not be in business, but I am still a photographer :) I also have a lot of practicing and learning to do during this break that I'm taking.

My girl

Its been awhile since I posted photos of my baby girl on this blog. Daphne is 6 (and a half) months old and she is doing all kinds of things now. It's crazy how time flies.

This photo shoot was extra fun for me! This is my baby girl... she was born on November 1st and is now 3 weeks old. I've been taking it easy and enjoying my baby, but it's about time that I do a post just for Daphne. These photos were taken when she was only 5 days old. She was an angel the whole time I took these photos... I was in heaven! 

Summer Fun

Photo opportunities like these are simply my favorite. I love photographing children in their element. It is so fun following them around and watching them. Last year when we went blueberry picking I absolutely fell in love with the photos I came home with. This year was quite the same.

The information is all in this post here. The only change is the location. June Mini Sessions will now be held at Happy Hollow Park.**

I loved this session! (I probably say that about each one...) I loved the location, the colors and my beautiful models :) This is my sister and her family... they are beautiful aren't they?? I loved taking pictures of them... I was in Utah visiting, so for this shoot we went up to Sugar House and walked around the shopping area there. We found a cute little red bookstore, some fun walls, and a laundry mat :) Oh, I was so excited!! My only wish is that we would have stayed longer and taken more pictures at the laundry mat... it was just perfect for pictures.  My little sister, Bethany, took these pictures with me. She is also a photographer and we had a great time together. Check out her new blog... she does such a great job!

Oh, so many pictures... I couldn't stop at just a couple. I was so lucky to be able to take pictures for family! I wish I lived closer so I could do it more often. Thanks Shannon!!
